Isle of Lewis, Scotland – built ~2015AD
These small stones were collected by the roadside near Callanish
and I made a stone circle with them near our tiny hotel above
the beach. It was on the far western edge of The Isle of Lewis at
Baile-na-Cille and there was a sign on the road saying ‘the next
hotel West is in Nantuket’!
These stones were collected near a barn in Skepparviken, in
Värmdö, in the Stockholm Archipelago in Sweden. There are
roughly 24,000 small islands there and having visited regularly
for over 40 years I was commissioned by the owner to leave my
mark on his beautiful property and I was privileged to do so.
