Punching well above its weight

Lebanon is a small nation, only 100 miles long and not much more than 30 miles wide, but so very powerful in its international influence with so many important Lebanese heading up major posts in industry and businesses across the world.

It has had a very troubled time over the last 50 years with internal and international strife.  Those troubles have affected what was, at one time, a wonderful peaceful country, with the capital city, Beirut, known as the Paris of the East.

If ever a country deserved freedom and progress, it is Lebanon and it was such a great tragedy that the wonderful harbour area with all the relics of the great Phoenician walls, were so badly damaged by the recent devastating explosion in the warehouses of the city harbour.

The Bronze

My bronze is a powerful message to display the message of freedom.  The release of a white dove is such a universal symbol of peace and for freedom and for prosperity in the future.

With a strong outline this sculpture needs space and will be seen in public spaces or parks as well as in private homes and gardens, as a constant reminder of what we all desire for the world.

Peace, Prosperity, Happiness and most of all Freedom.
