Recently another new work has emerged from my studio.
Originally I called her Florence because she reminded me of the strength and yet love and tenderness shown by Florence Nightingale in the work she undertook in the Crimean War.
But then I began to think that she wasn’t really a Florence after all and so she’s called ‘Emily‘.
A new work… called Emily

She was made first in wax, as a small maquette and then cast in bronze…

Emily has now been enlarged in resin, and here she is! She will be cast in bronze at the Morris Singer Foundry, in Basingstoke, in the near future.
